Yoga for teens and tweens is an exciting and dynamic practice that stretches the mind, body, and spirit. Teens will increase strength, balance, and flexibility as they flow through an energizing series of poses. In this way, yoga can help teens develop in sports and other activities. Yoga also allows teens to remove stress through breath work and inner focus. Each class ends with relaxation and time for self-reflection. Classes are non-competitive and non-judgmental, where each unique individual is nurtured and respected. Practising yoga helps teens make healthy personal choices, develop self-esteem, cultivate positive body image, and find empowerment. Yoga provides teens with the skills to go out and successfully face the challenges of everyday life.
